Scout’s
Scout’s is a New American restaurant in Midtown St. Louis that emphasizes a warm, home-like dining experience rooted in its origins as an intimate pop-up dinner series. The restaurant opened in November 2025 and has quickly become one of the hottest new restaurants to try, quickly achieving rank on the STL100 Best St. Louis Restaurants. Scout's focuses more on seasonal menus and communal hospitality. Cozy bar top and sofa seating is available in the front, expanding well beyond your normal 4-person tables to a large 14-seater family table in the back. Nice weather? Enjoy your meal on the back patio.
Many menu offerings come in appetizer or small plate form, making it ideal to order several items to share amongst friends. We highly recommend topping off your evening with their delicious olive oil cake!

🌟 Weekend Highlights You Shouldn’t Miss
The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra is performing the live scores from 23 Marvel Cinematic Universe films, from Iron Man through Avengers: Endgame, synchronized to on-screen footage, inside one of the most beautiful concert halls in America. Twelve composers' work, plus the Guardians of the Galaxy mixtape tracks, brought to life by a world-class orchestra. Friday and Saturday at 7:00 P.M., Sunday at 2:00 P.M.
The Mother Road is celebrating its 100th birthday, and St. Louis is throwing the party it deserves. The Missouri History Museum is hosting a completely free, four-day celebration that goes way beyond nostalgia: classic car clubs are bringing vehicles from the highway's golden age, a glowing neon sign exhibit recreates the diners and motor courts that once lit the way through town, and more. Friday through Sunday, 10:00 A.M. – 9:00 P.M.
German heritage is woven into the DNA of Grant's Farm, and Maifest is the celebration that brings it all to life. The historic Busch family estate fills with live music from the Deutschmeister Brass Band and more. Pair the music with tram rides through the Deer Park, animal shows for the kids, and the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales. 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M.
For over 75 years, the Greater St. Louis Book Fair has been one of the most anticipated events on the city's calendar. This weekend, it takes over Queeny Park once again. Thousands of new, gently used, and rare books fill the Greensfelder Recreation Complex alongside movies, music, comics, and other collectible items. All proceeds benefit local non-profit education and literacy programs. Admission is completely free. Friday 9:00 A.M. – 8:00 P.M., Saturday 9:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M., Sunday 9:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.

Sauce Magazine Food Truck Fridays Season Kickoff (Tower Grove Park)- One of the most beloved outdoor traditions in St. Louis is back with 20-plus food trucks, live music under the trees, and craft beer from 4 Hands Brewing. Bring a blanket and your appetite. This is a season that the city waits for all year. 4:00 - 8:00 P.M.
First Friday: Grand Center Arts Night (Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis)- Grand Center comes alive for First Friday with a block party previewing the newest stretch of the Brickline Greenway, galleries open at CAM, drinks in the courtyard, and a stunning opera performance. Prepare for an evening full of art, music, and culture. 3:30 P.M. - 9:00 P.M.
Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (Busch Stadium)- The Dodgers are in town for a 3-game weekend series. Grab a hot dog and a cold one to kick things off on Friday. 7:15 P.M.

Chinese Culture Days: 30th Anniversary (Missouri Botanical Garden)- This year marks the 30th anniversary of the largest Chinese cultural festival in the Midwest. A 70-foot dancing dragon leads the grand parade, world-class acrobats take the stage, and the Nanjing Friendship Garden provides the kind of backdrop that no other St. Louis venue can match. 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
Kentucky Derby Day: Live Racing (Fairmount Park)- It’s Derby Day, and you don’t have to be in Louisville to feel it. Fairmount Park has live horse racing all afternoon, so grab a mint julep and make an occasion of it. 1:30 P.M.
Manchester Craft Beer Festival (Schroeder Park)- Craft beer lovers, this one is yours. Local breweries take over Schroeder Park for an afternoon of tastings, live music, and good company in Manchester. 3:00 - 6:00 P.M.
Sunday, May 3rd
All Aboard the Wabash Frisco & Pacific Railroad (Glencoe)- Kick off your Sunday with a miniature steam-powered train ride through the woods along the Meramec River. Your kids will love it… and you will love it too. 10:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.
Things You Never Knew About the 1904 World's Fair (Missouri History Museum)- A guided tour through one of the most fascinating chapters in St. Louis history, the 1904 World's Fair that put our city on the global map. 2:00 P.M.
All-Star Chorus Concert (Sheldon Concert Hall)- Enjoy a beautiful afternoon of choral music from an ensemble of some of the best high school singers around. The All-Star Chorus is a tuition-free program that provides high school students with professional music instruction and performance opportunities, including travel. 2:00 P.M.

Cardinals Off to a Clutch Start
Your Redbirds are sitting at 13-8 through April 20, which is the fifth-best record in all of Major League Baseball. Their secret? Cava Opens Its First St. Louis Location
The fast-casual Mediterranean chain that has been taking over the East Coast officially arrived in St. Louis, opening its first area restaurant in Cottleville. Their menu includes customizable bowls, salads, and pitas with house-made hummus, tahini, and grilled proteins. A second location in Des Peres is already in the works for later this year.
