🎻 Powell Hall Reopens: A New Era for SLSO
After a $140 million transformation, the iconic Powell Hall is reopening its doors.
The historic venue for the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra (SLSO) now blends century-old grandeur with state-of-the-art acoustics, expanded performance spaces, and modern amenities designed to welcome the next generation of concertgoers.
📍 Tip: Arrive early to explore the redesigned spaces and historic details — and check the SLSO schedule for special performances marking the reopening.

Friday, September 26th
🍺 UCBC Oktoberfest – The Grove. Celebrate with steins of German beer, live music, traditional food, and family‐friendly fun all weekend long.
🍺 Oktoberfest at Frontier Park – St. Charles. Family‑friendly free festival with brat-eating contests, live music and Dachshund races. All weekend.
🚚 Sauce Magazine Food Truck Fridays – Tower Grove Park. One of the final two events this season. 20+ food trucks and live music. 3-7 p.m.
🎃 Pirates & Pumpkins at the Aquarium – Downtown. Pumpkin carving, pirate shows and cannon demos. Fun for all ages.
🎶 Central West End Summer Music Series – Enjoy the final free outdoor concerts this year featuring local bands & patio dining specials. 6-9 p.m.
Saturday, September 27th
🎤 Evolution Festival – Forest Park. Two days of music, craft cocktails, and chef‑curated bites headlined by major acts like Sublime and Lenny Kravitz. Tickets required. Gates open 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
🏳️🌈 Tower Grove Pride – Tower Grove Park. One of the region’s largest LGBTQ+ celebrations. Two days of parades, performances & vendors.
🎉 Macklind Days – Enjoy the free neighborhood street festival packed with local vendors, live music, food trucks, and family activities. 12-8 p.m.
🎷 Clayton Jazz Festival – Clayton. Free evening of jazz with top regional artists, art booths and food & drink from local restaurants. 5-10 p.m.
🏒 Blues vs. Blackhawks (Preseason) – Downtown. Blues hockey returns to Enterprise Center at 6 p.m.
Sunday, September 28th
🎤 Evolution Festival (Day 2) – Forest Park. Music, craft cocktails, and chef‑curated bites headlined by major acts like Sublime and Lenny Kravitz. Tickets required. Gates open 1 p.m. on Sunday.
🎃 Halloween Fun Farm Days – Stuckmeyers Farm. Opening weekend. Hayrides, pumpkin picking, a petting zoo, play areas, and fall family activities.
🍻 Oktoberfest Finale – St. Charles. Last day to “prost!” with live music and family fun.
🍂 Fall Fun Zone - Kirkwood. Kid's Fun Zone & The Great Pumpkin Patch opening weekend. Includes a hay maze, inflatables & more. Admission fee.
🎻 Opening Weekend at Powell Hall (Final Day) – Celebrate the grand reopening with inaugural concerts & tours of renovated icon. Tickets online.
