đ Halloween is here, and St. Louis is in transition this weekend. After partying the night away with ghosts and goblins, you can wake up and shop the first holiday markets of the season. The city's calendar may be transitioning in the blink of an eye, but we have you covered through it all. Grab your costume one last time, and see whatâs new in the Lou!

Ope Outdoors
Missouri is lucky to have over 50 beautiful state parks, many of them within a short drive from St. Louis. One local company, Ope Outdoors, celebrates these parks with a sustainable apparel line. Beyond merchandise, the company also inspires St. Louisans to get outdoors by hosting group hikes around the area, as well as organizing park clean-ups. Started in 2020 by Juno Musonda, Ope Outdoors has expanded beyond the Tower Grove Farmerâs Market and can now be found in the Brentwood REI. With Illinois and Ohio parks now included as well, the expansion of Ope Outdoors is spreading an appreciation for the Midwestâs natural beauty.
đ Festival Fever: DĂa de los Muertos in St. Louis
Celebrate DĂa de los Muertos in two St. Louis locations this weekend! Check out the details below to plan your perfect day to remember your loved ones who have passed on.
Delmar- On Saturday, the East Loop CID transforms Delmar into a vibrant Day of the Dead celebration. DĂa de los Muertos Festival (4 pm â 10:30 pm) features a dog costume contest (4:30 pm), kids entertainment (5 pm) and kids costume contest (5:30 pm). A mini parade leads into an evening of live performancesâMariachi Los Reyes, Ballet Folklorico Ollin, vocalist Anna Iriarte and headliner Banda Artilleros. There will be 30+ vendors selling traditional foods and crafts, face painting, a community altar, papel picado and a floral arch. Itâs free and family friendly, so bring the whole crew.
Forest Park- The Missouri History Museum is bringing the party to Forest Park. Starting at 10 am, this family friendly event runs all day. Kids can have their faces painted and make crafts while enjoying bilingual storytime. Encore STL and the Dance Society of St. Louis have dance performances, while Tropifunk and DJ Eric Sensation keep the live music going. A procession through Forest park takes place at 5:20 pm on Saturday. Plenty of food and drink vendors will be present as well.

Friday, October 31st
đ¨SLAM Underground â GOTHIC (Saint Louis Art Museum) â Kick off your Halloween at this free 18+ party with haunting music, craft cocktails and art making. Explore Anselm Kieferâs new exhibition, join a roaming escapeâroom puzzle, craft a miniature house of horrors, dance to Sounds Like Noise and visit an interactive Dungeons & Dragons performance. 7â10 pm; arrive early for talks on sĂŠances and St. Louisâ 19thâcentury bodyâsnatching history.
đThe Darkness (Soulard) â Visit one of St. Louisâs premier haunted attractions before it closes for the season! The Darkness has been bringing fright to St. Louis for over 30 years. A brand new haunt, Butcher Shop, has been added this year. Make sure to check out the Horror Retail Store, Serial Killer Escape Room, and more! Open 6:30-10:30 Halloween night.
đ§ Michael Jacksonâs Thriller Live (City Winery, City Foundry) â Bring in Halloween with some live music at this special event presented by PureSoul. A live band will perform Michael Jacksonâs Thriller album in its entirety while you eat, drink, and dance with your friends. Tickets required.
đ¸ Death by Hairspray â ComedyâMystery Dinner (Lemp Mansion) â Dig into a threeâcourse dinner at the famously haunted Lemp Mansion while playing detective in this interactive murderâmystery. Guests dress as favorite specters and can join the storyâparts are assigned at the door. The show is equal parts comedy and whodunit; reservations required, show starts at 7 pm.
đ Boo-lesque Show (Boom Boom Room, Downtown) â Enjoy a twist on Halloween at a spooky cabaret show. The Halloween show has been a tradition and crowd favorite at the Boom Boom Room for over 10 years. A two-course dinner menu and themed cocktails are served during the show. Costumes are encouraged for those attending. 8-10:30 pm.
đť đ§ Monster Prom (9 Mile Garden, Affton) â Dress to possess at this 21+ outdoor bash with DJ Duffy spinning spooky tunes, a costume contest, food trucks and a Graveyard Popup Bar serving creepy cocktails. The party runs 7 pmâ11 pm. 9 Mile Garden is Missouriâs first foodâtruck garden and features a yearâround canteen.
Saturday, November 1st
đ DĂa de los Muertos Festival (Delmar Loop) â Honor loved ones at this free celebration with costume contests, kidsâ activities and a mini parade. Evening performances include Mariachi Los Reyes, Ballet Folklorico Ollin, Anna Iriarte and Banda Artilleros. Enjoy over 30 food and craft vendors, face painting and a vibrant community altar, 4 pmâ10:30 pm.
đ DĂa de los Muertos (Missouri History Museum) â Bilingual story telling, face painting, dance performances by Encore STL and the Dance Society of St. Louis, and a procession through Forest Park are only some of the many activities provided at this celebration. This events runs both Saturday and Sunday, with plenty of traditions, live music, and cultural food for the whole family to come together and enjoy.
đ âď¸ Military Trucks & Brass & Nickel Shows (National Museum of Transportation) â The museumâs final car show of the year showcases military vehicles and gleaming brass-and-nickel antique cars. Regular admission applies; other attractions include a Câ47A WWII transport plane open for tours and an evening trivia night, 9 amâ4 pm.
đą The Great Cats-by (Central Library)- A celebration of the classic novel The Great Gatsby and cute cats meet in this unexpected, but fun, combo put on by St. Louis Public Libraries. This family friendly event has crafts and activities for all ages. In the lobby, enjoy mocktails while viewing a short film about cat gangsters making their way in 1920s St. Louis.
đľ La La Land in Concert (Fox Theater)- View a much loved 2016 film La La Land in a new immersive way. A full jazz band and orchestra will play the soundtrack of the movie as it is aired in the beautiful Fox Theater.
đSOHA Holiday Market (Bishop Dubourg High School)- Over 60 vendors are kicking off the holiday season, complete with a Santa and Mrs. Claus. Food trucks, a coffee truck, bourbon tasting, and more will be present to satisfy your appetite while you begin your holiday shopping.
Sunday, November 2nd
đ Pumpkin Throwdown (City Museum)â Bring your pumpkins and throw them off the side of the City Museum at this quirky event. Watch the satisfying explosion of your old jack-o-lanterns as they travel 10 stories down to the âsplat zone.â All pumpkins will be composted by New Earth Farms at the end of the event. 12-3 pm.
đď¸ Homegrown for the Holidays Market (Eckertâs Farm â Belleville) â Get a jump on holiday shopping at this twoâday indoor/outdoor market featuring bath and beauty products, handmade jewelry, childrenâs clothes, crafts and more. Live music and food from the Cider Shed round out the festivities; admission is free, 11 amâ4 pm.
𼡠Ninja Kidz Live: Infinite Possibilities (The Factory, Chesterfield) â The YouTubeâfamous Ninja Kidz leap off the screen for a live interactive show where the audience shapes the story. Expect physical challenges, games and epic battlesâkids help decide how the multiverse unfold. Doors open at 2 pm; show at 3 pm.
đľ Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff- Passion and Drama (Powell Hall) â Immerse yourself in the beautiful music of Tchaikovskyâs Violin Concerto and Rachmaninoffâs Second Symphony. Make sure to check out the newly renovated Powell Hall and impressive building addition before the show. Show starts at 3 pm.

Womenâs Sports Bar Announced â A Portland company, The Sports Bra, has announced they will open another location in Maplewood next year. The Sports Bra is dedicated to the appreciation of womenâs sports by solely playing womenâs sports on their many TVs while providing top notch food and a welcoming environment.
