Firework previews, The Muny, & Pride Fest - it’ll be a blast 💥 for everyone this summer!

It’s June in the Lou! Time for fireworks extravaganzas, Pride celebrations, and all the outdoor fun. In this issue of “The Lou” we dive into local parties being thrown which showcase and celebrate the hearts and minds of locals. Meet your neighbors in the many free events happening, try something new with lessons being offered, and spend quality time getting to know why St. Louis is so uniquely celebrated. With Pride parades and events happening, you can see the love we offer and share. Make sure you plan for the fireworks too, as they are truly a spectacular sight to see. What’s Happenin’ in St. Louis 👀

Thursday, June 26th

  • Thursday Night Putting League at 9 Mile Garden: Come out and enjoy unlimited putts for $10 at 5 unique stations! This family friendly event is located in Afton. Games start at 6pm ⛳️

  • Pay It Forward Community Drive at the Muny: Want to support or give back to the community? The Pay it Forward Community Drive supports the International Institute of St. Louis and is needing hygienic household items! Check out the registry here! Collections can be done online or in person at 8:15pm.

  • Outdoor Movie Night in Kiener Plaza - “Grease”: Hopelessly devoted to good cinema with summertime vibes? This free movie night will feature live music and food! Bring your pjs or dress up as your favorite Grease character 🚗 - movie starts at 6pm 🍿 

  • Tennis and Pickle ball Social: Come out to Willmore Park to play free tennis and pickle ball! No experience needed and extra equipment provided. Come to learn, stay for the fun and new friendships! Event is from 5:30-9pm 🎾 

  • Date Night - Sunset & Blackberries at Eckerts: Reserve a romantic date night filled with berry picking, cider sipping, and a tractor ride! Event goes from 6-9pm 🚜 🍺 

  • Botanical Garden Sketchout: Create art at the botanical garden for free! Tables and watercolor provided. Event goes from 5-8pm 🎨 🌺 

Friday, June 27th

  • Chicago at Stifel Theatre: Saturday in the park state of mind? Come out to hear the legends live at the Stifel Theatre! Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm 🎺

  • JB Blast 2025: The annual celebration is back with fireworks, good food, and live music! Event goes from 7-9:15pm 🎆 

  • SLAM Underground-ACCELERATE: Celebrate automobiles impact in art with a cocktail in hand. Two exhibitions showcasing art in France and America will be presented. This free event will feature art making activities, live music, and cocktails. Event happening from 7-10pm 🚘 🍸

  • Danger Party at Crown Hall: Revisit the emo 🖤 stage with this night of live music from the “Danger Party” at the venue, Crown Hall! Free and starts at 9pm.

  • The Summer Succulent & Tropical Plant Event at Flyleaf: Need some new plants for the collection? Or looking to start one? Take advantage of this mega sale happening from 9am-2pm 🪴 

  • Patio-Palooza: Free Outdoor Concert: Take a trip to Big Bend for a free outdoor concert and an ice cream truck! Doors open at 6pm for this family friendly event 🍦 🎶 

Saturday, June 28th

  • Soulard Island Bash: Have a tropical time at Molly’s where a street party will be taking place! Food, themed drinks, and outdoor games will be featured…not to mention blow up bungee racing, lance fighting, and a dunk tank! Event lasts from 12-5pm 🏄🏼‍♀️🍹

  • “Hello Summer” Festival: Spend the day at U City Farms for goat 🐐 petting, locally farm sourced eats, crafted goods, and a whole lot of fun! Goes from 8:30am-12:30pm 😎 

  • PRIDE GLOW at The Crack Fox: Experience DJs, go-go dancers, and body painters all in one place! Celebrate Pride while you’re at it and leave glowing neon! Event lasts from 9pm-2:30am 🎟

  • City Wide Block Party: 4 Hands Brewing Company is hosting this block-wide celebration of STL with mascots, food & drink, garage sale, live music, and sports watch parties! Something for everyone here, check it out - starts at 2pm 🎈

  • Breakfast with Bluey the Blue Pup: Know any kiddos in the Bluey fan club? You won’t want to miss this Chick Fil A breakfast and crafts fun with special guest Bluey! Tickets are $10-15. Event goes from 9-10am 🐶💙

  • Beffa’s 9-9-9 Challenge: Get ready for the 9-9-9 challenge! Before the 9th inning, eat 9 hot dogs and 9 beers during the Cardinal’s game! Or finish trying your best 😆 - event starts at 3:10pm 🌭 🍻 ⚾️

Sunday, June 29th

  • Groove & Spin Cruise: Board a ship and jam out to old school R&B. Must be 21 or older for this special evening with views of the St. Louis skyline 🌃. Cruise goes from 6:30-8:30pm 🚢 

  • Whitecliff Summer Playhouse Presents “Seussical the Musical”: Come out to the park and enjoy this unique musical which presents Dr. Seuss books into a whimsical adaptation. In its 36th season, this may be a new family tradition for yours to try! Tickets are $3-7. Starts at 8:15-11:15pm 📯

  • Pink Pizzazz: Spend the afternoon at the 21c Hotel for a curated presentation of art and music! Goes from 2-6pm 💕💞💗💓🎉

  • Fountain Fitness: Brunch & Burn: Head over to Delmar for yoga, breakfast and fun! Stay longer to see it transform for lunch and grab a waffle 🧇 dog while enjoying live music. Goes from 9:30-11am 🧘‍♀️🥂 

  • Silent Dance Party Hosted by Doris Mack Featuring DJMayMay: This throwback dance party will feature all the nostalgia of the 70s, 80s, & 90s! Tickets are $15. Event is 6-10pm 🪩 

  • Honky Tonk Sunday: Country meets city? At 756 S. 4th Street this Sunday it does! Enjoy live acoustic country music at this free event. Goes from 3-10pm 🪕

The Muny

Known for being the oldest and largest outdoor concert, this St. Louis summer tradition provides memories of a lifetime. This will be its 107th season and will feature “Come From Away” - (June 26th-July 2nd), “Dear Evan Hanson” (July 28th-August 3rd), “Disney’s Frozen” (July 6th-14th), “Evita” (July 18th-24th) “La Cage aux Folles” (August 8th-14th), and “Jersey Boys” (August 18th-24th). Pride Fest: This year will be bigger and better than before as it will now be a community supported effort! Featuring vendor booths, celebrations, and will span parks surrounding Soldiers Memorial Military Museum. June 28th-29th - Get your passes here! ⚡️🌈⚡️

Grace Chicken + Fish: The second location for Grace Meat + Three is opening in Crestwood, at the King Edward building.
