Get ready, because we have a lot to cover in this edition of the Lou! With multiple prime events happening - ahem, Father’s Day, Juneteenth, & Friday the 13th - the sky is the limit for what memories can be made in St. Louis this week! Although the skies have been a few spotty showers here and there, that is nothing for the locals! We have patios with umbrellas, and indoor concerts for shelter just in case. Grab your friends and family and mark the occasion with gatherings at new or the good old classics. We dive into Grant’s Farm in this edition and we also take a look at what events are popping up for the upcoming festivities. Let’s get started 🔥

What’s Happenin’ in St. Louis 👀

Thursday, June 12th

  • Shrek Movie Night at 9 Mile Garden: Come out to see the classic comedy movie on the big screen. No outside food or drinks allowed, but do please bring your lawn chairs and blankets! Movie goes from 7-10pm.

  • Latin Night at Club Viva: Grab your dancing shoes for lessons or freestyle where the cover charge of $12 is gone for ladies before 9pm. Dancing goes from 8pm-1:30am 💃 

  • Thursdays at Rockwell Beer Garden Farmers’ Market: Every Thursday this summer, Rockwell BeerGarden invites you to dinner where there will be local goods and produce on display at Francis Park. There will also be a chalk-a-palooza activity on this particular Thursday! Event runs from 4-8pm 🍻 

  • STL Green Drinks at Perennial Artisan Ales: Are you passionate about the environment or interested in what it’s about these days? Then stop by for a social hour of delicious craft beers and sandwiches while connecting with local environmental enthusiasts! Social runs 5-7pm 🌳 

  • Costume Karaoke at Tim’s Chrome Bar: Get ready for a memorable night of costumes and music! Bring your vocals and this bar will provide the props! Event goes from 7:30-10:30pm 🎤 🎶 

Friday, June 13th

  • Neon Dreams and Kandi Queens: Come out to Tim’s Chrome Bar to celebrate the dazzling colorful world of Lisa Frank! Coloring books & Kandi Bar will be stocked, just dress in your fav 90s attire and you are good to go! Event is from 5-8pm.

  • SLAM Social featuring OPUS 216: Looking for a more classical evening? This one might be right up your alley as it will have specialty cocktails, art circa France 1918-1939. Classic performers will also be present. Event is free and goes from 4-8pm.

  • Yoga in Carondelet Park: Are you new at yoga? That is a-ok for this event, where all levels are welcome! Bring a yoga mat. Happening from 6-7pm.

  • James Arthur at Stifel Theatre: Be sure to reserve your tickets to see James Arthur in “The Pisces World Tour” - begins at 7:30pm.

  • Foam Wonderland - Above Reality Tour: Come out to Ballpark Village for this immersive and surreal experience which features DJs, artists, the world’s largest foam machines, and a storm like show! You must see to believe. 🫧 Event goes from 6-11pm 🫧 

  • Death by Hairspray: Time to go back! Back to the 80s that is. Dress up, bring your friends, and have a totally rad comedy, murder dinner show! Begins at 7pm.

Saturday, June 14th

  • Central West End Coctail Party: This event marks the anniversary of the first recorded cocktail and pays homage to it with live music, street performers, and a top of the line food vendors. Bartenders will also be prepared to show off their skills for a competition! Event is free and runs from 5-10pm 🍸

  • Boozy Brunch Crawl: Register to walk or run for this family and pet friendly event! Tickets are available for purchase and crawl goes from 12-5pm.

  • Psychic Fair: Ever had a fortune teller reading? For only $20 sample the unknown mystical arts of astrology, crystals, tarot, and cards! Event lasts from 12-5pm 🔮

  • Louligan Street Party at Schlafly Tap Room: Come out to celebrate soccer with good food, beverages, and much much more. There will also be a raffle! Event lasts from 11am-3:30pm.

  • Billy Strings at Chaifetz Arena: Grab your tickets for the Grammy award winning artist! Event starts at 7:30pm.

  • Astronomy on Tap St. Louis - Exploding Stars and Extreme Planets: Looking for a cosmic time, then look no further! Astronomy on Tap which involves trivia, prizes, and good brews at Urban Chestnut! Event goes from 8-10pm 🪐

Sunday, June 15th

  • Lemp Mansion Escape Room: Get ready for a spooky time as you encounter clues to solve the mystery at the Lemp Mansion! Be quick or be trapped forever 👻! Starts at 1:30pm.

  • Pickin on Picknic Bluegrass Brunch: What is a Sunday without brunch…and good ol bluegrass? Located along the Meramec River, take in fireside jam sessions and local vendors - also dog friendly! Event goes from 10am-2pm 🪕 

  • Free Wheel Rides for Dads: If you’re in Downtown St. Louis, make sure you get your dad (or closest father figure) to try out the Wheel for free! Goes from 10am-10pm 🎡 

  • Free Admission to St. Louis Aquarium for Dad’s: This Sunday would be a wonderful time to sea-librate your father figure at the St. Louis Aquarium! Aquarium is open 9am-7pm 🐠 

  • All American 5k & Fun Run : The classic race returns this Father’s Day which will be from Kirkwood to Webster groves. Enjoy ice cream and scenic neighborhoods at the finish line! Goes from 7:30-10:30am 🏃‍♀️

Grant’s Farm

This popular destination is a must for the family in the summer time, and all year round for that matter! Known for its lush landscape and the famous Clydesdales, there is truly so much on the bucket list to do here! Enjoy the tram, feed the animals, and don’t forge to take a picture on the carousel 🎠!
