LOCAL SPOTLIGHT OF THE WEEK:
St. Louis Science Center

Making its grand debut in 1963, the Science Center began as only a planetarium! Then in 1991, it underwent major expansion into what it is today. Kids and Adults of all ages have been enchanted by the amazing world of science ๐Ÿงฌ at the Science Center ever since. With retellings of the past with historical accuracy and artifacts, shows of all intrigue can be found here daily. Currently, you can find star shows and viewings along with movies for simply relaxing. Weekly yoga series can also be enjoyed for the mind, body, and spirit.   • Summer Fest at 9 Mile Garden: Donโ€™t forget your swimsuit for this big summer blowout featuring food trucks, water slides, and live music - begins at 11am ๐Ÿ’ฆ 

  • Washington Town & Country Fair in Washington: Come out the last days of summer for a carnival event in Washington and enjoy live entertainment, all the fine fare foods, games, and so much more! Fair goes for 5 days from 7am-12am ๐Ÿฅง. Fireworks ๐ŸŽ† display on final day!

  • Missouri State Fair in Sedalia: See who takes home the blue ribbon this year at the state fair! With chart topping musical performers, carnival rides, and so much more! Event goes for 11 days (August 7th-17th) from 7:30am-10pm ๐ŸŽก 

  • Evening Wolf Howl at the Endangered Wolf ๐Ÿบ Center: Spend a majestic evening around a campfire, learning about native wolves - then have a howling good time communicating with the wolves located at the center! Reserve those tickets! This event goes from 6:30-8:30pm ๐ŸŒŒ ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐ŸŒฒ 

  • Live Horseracing at Fairmount Park, Illinois: Make it a day at the racetrack and watch the professionals race their noble steeds to the finish line ๐Ÿ! Event starts at 1:30pm ๐ŸŽ

  • Wow! Amazing Animal Shows at the World Bird Sanctuary: Take 30 minutes to be one with nature - or birds in this case! The World Bird Sanctuary will showcase a new bird at each event. Be prepared for birds swooping overhead and listen to their distinct calls! Starts at 1pm ๐Ÿฆ… 

  • Solar Sundays at the McDonald Planetarium: Learn and have a view like never before of the sun โ˜€๏ธ with this free chance to experience telescopes! Viewing goes from 11am-3pm ๐Ÿ”ญ 

  • All Aboard the Wabash Frisco and Pacific Railroad: Folks of all ages will have a serene time sightseeing the Meramec River, but from the perspective on a train! Tickets ๐ŸŽŸ sellout fast, so be sure to reserve in advance. Goes from 11am-4pm ๐Ÿš‚ 

  • St. Charles Jewish Festival a the Lewis & Clark Boathouse: Have an enriching cultural experience at this festival with kids activities and historical lessons. Enjoy some tasty kosher treats while youโ€™re at it! Event goes from 11:30am-2:30pm ๐Ÿฅ–๐Ÿฒ๐Ÿฅ”
