The Bonsack Gallery Presents Tom Reed: new familiar water August 28 - September 21!

The Bonsack Gallery at John Burroughs School will open new familiar water, an exhibition by Tom Reed, on Friday, August 28, with a free public reception from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. The show will remain on view through Monday, September 21.

About the Exhibition
Tom Reed transforms the natural world into a place that feels at once familiar and otherworldly in his sculpture and multimedia works on paper. Drawing from the landscapes of the Midwest, his exaggerated hills, dense forests, glowing skies, and celestial forms explore nature as
sanctuary, spiritual presence, and source of unease.

Throughout the work, distinctions between the earthly and cosmic, solitude and surveillance, and orientation and disorientation begin to blur. Reed’s landscapes seem to exist outside ordinary time — inviting us into a world where being lost may be an essential part of finding our way.

The Bonsack Gallery is a not-for-profit educational gallery on the campus of John Burroughs School (755 South Price Road, St. Louis, MO 63124).

Regular gallery hours are 8 am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
