Ballpark Village presents "The Year St. Louis Became a Baseball Town: The Cardinals, Babe Ruth & the 1926 World Series" Book Signing on Saturday, August 29!

This new book highlights the 100th anniversary of that Cardinals’ first World Series win. Terry Lemons, a former White House reporter originally from St. Louis, will sign copies of the book at Baseballism St. Louis.

The book, which has drawn praise from people like Bob Costas, takes a fresh look at long forgotten events from a century ago that captivated not just the hometown fans, but much of the country. The 1926 season set in motion events that even today continue to affect the culture and traditions of St. Louis and Cardinals fans. The region’s baseball obsession traces back a century to a legendary World Series upset of Babe Ruth’s Yankees.

The event will run from 11 a.m. until after the Cardinals’ game concludes.
