The Last Show On Earth
Presented By: Equally Represented Arts
‘The Last Show on Earth’ is a multi-media vignette-style play that explores the absurdity and quiet beauty of contemporary life in an increasingly mediated world. Inspired by the films of Roy Andersson, the play unfolds as a series of loosely connected scenes that share a common creative theme rather than a single linear plot. Together, these moments form an emotional arc that moves from the everyday toward the existential. Audience engagement is central to the project. The show frequently breaks the “fourth wall,” blurring the line between performer and spectator and implicating the audience in the themes being examined. ‘The Last Show on Earth’ is written by Joe Taylor and directed by Lucy Cashion.
