There are singers who love the Great American Songbook, and then there is Stella Cole. The 25-year-old grew up watching The Wizard of Oz every day for a year, graduated from Northwestern with a double major in theater and international relations, and somehow turned a series of TikTok and YouTube videos into a recording deal with Universal Music and a sold-out national tour. Her third album, It's Magic, is a suite of vintage love songs with the most romantic string arrangements she and producer Matt Pierson have recorded yet. Hearing it live at City Winery St. Louis, in one of the most intimate seated concert venues in the city, is a different thing entirely. The wine list is ready. The table is yours.
