See STL: Dogtown
Although the Dogtown neighborhood has had many names over the years—Sulphur Springs, the Gratiot League Square, the Glades, Cheltenham—today it’s synonymous with all things Irish. But its story encompasses much more than beer and bars; it stretches all the way back to St. Louis’s earliest days. Dogtown sat at the literal and figurative crossroads of the city, and this tour will dive into how the neighborhood’s industries, cultures, and identities fit into St. Louis’s story. Along the way we’ll visit St. James the Greater Catholic Church, Tamm Avenue, and several hidden gems.
See STL walking tours are 2 hours in length and are wheelchair accessible. Tour starting/ending points are included in your booking info.
