Romeo & Zooliet

Romeo & Zooliet, the fun family comedy that premiered in St. Louis in 2025, is returning this fall. Romeo & Zooliet will run September 24-October 11, 2026, in Shakespeare Glen in Forest Park.

Romeo & Zooliet, written by Jennifer Joan Thompson and directed by Tom Ridgely, is a family-friendly stage adaptation that features dazzling animal puppetry by world-renowned Michael Curry Design, known for its work on Broadway’s “The Lion King” and “Frozen” along with Olympic and Super Bowl ceremonies. It is adapted from the award-winning graphic novel The Stratford Zoo Midnight Revue Presents Romeo and Juliet by Ian Lendler.

The St. Louis Shakespeare Festival has also partnered with the Saint Louis Art Museum to offer free, related scavenger hunts at the Museum any time during the production’s run. During weekday matinee performances, transportation support may be available for qualified schools via the Saint Louis Art Museum.
