Nature Speaks Through Art | A Collaboration with the Missouri Botanical Garden and St. Louis Art Museum

Focus: Women Impressionists and the Land 

The Missouri Botanical Garden engages visitors with nature in unique ways. On Wednesday, Oct. 21, we are hosting, in partnership with the St. Louis Art Museum, Nature Speaks Through Art. The focus will be on SLAM’s new exhibit Women Impressionists and the Land. The morning will include a talk from a SLAM curator, Abigail Yoder, a brief talk on the impact of nature and well-being, and artists from the Missouri Plein Air Painters Association (MOPAPA) creating art in the Garden. Admission is free, and registration is required. 

Background:  En plein air, a French phrase meaning "in the open air," describes the process of painting a landscape outdoors.
