Hanna Diamond Presents her Book “Josephine Baker’s Secret War”

Hanna Diamond, professor of French history at Cardiff University in Wales, presents her book Josephine Baker’s Secret War. This one-night-only conversation uncovers the hidden wartime story of Josephine Baker. Drawing on previously unseen materials, Diamond illuminates the vital role Baker played throughout the war, from counterintelligence work in North Africa to service in the French Air Force to her work across France, Spain, Portugal, North Africa, and the Middle East. Following the presentation, Diamond will sign copies of her book, which will be available for purchase in the Sold on St. Louis museum shop (sold separately).
