Consolations of Memory at Bellefontaine Cemetery

The Consolations of Memory at Bellefontaine Cemetery is a guided cemetery tour that will go through Bellefontaine Cemetery's beautiful Wildwood Valley. Attendees will experience the re-enactment of a 19th Century funeral service of Dr. Bernard Farrar who passed away in 1849 during the cholera outbreak and then go on a tour around the Historic Hotchkiss Chapel. The tour will focus on the history and development of 19th-century rural cemeteries.
