An Evening with JoJo Hermann and special guest Sam Holt
City Winery St. Louis presents An Evening with JoJo Hermann and special guest Sam Holt on Wednesday, September 2!
JoJo Hermann has spent more than three decades at the keyboard of one of American rock's most devoted live bands, and the music he makes away from Widespread Panic is just as rooted, just as alive. Raised in New York City and shaped by the piano professors of New Orleans, Professor Longhair and Dr. John among them, Hermann arrived in the South and never really left in spirit. He joined Widespread Panic in 1992, bringing boogie-woogie piano, B-3 organ, and a soulful vocal presence that turned songs like "Ain't Life Grand," "Blackout Blues," and "One Arm Steve" into tent-pole moments for the band's most faithful. His touch is unmistakable: blues-drenched, improvisational, and locked into something that feels both ancient and immediate.
